Stained-Glass Lights with Cabochons
A geometric field of cream glass with cast teardrops set around it.
1 format Ø30 cm
A cabochon is a raised cast insert with ribs radiating from its centre. Unlike a flat piece it works as a small lens: it gathers light and gives it back as a narrow bright point. Set in a ring, these inserts produce a row of glowing accents on a calm field.
The cream field is a deliberate choice: on coloured glass the cabochons would be lost. The light from this lamp is warm and almost colourless — it suits a place that needs texture rather than a colour accent.
