Lights with Fringe
A lower edge of vertical drops — the quietest way to soften the boundary of the light.

On a plain shade the edge cuts the pool of light with a hard line. Fringe stretches that boundary: light runs down in strips and fades gradually. In a small room you notice at once — ceiling and walls stop dividing into “lit” and “dark”.
Of all the decorative edges, fringe is the most restrained: it adds height to the lamp without adding glitter. A good choice when the interior is already busy and does not need another accent.
