Glass is fragile freight. Each shade travels in a rigid foam cradle inside a double-wall carton; metal parts are packed separately.

Returns and exchanges follow the rules of the platform where the order was placed, within the periods set by Russian consumer protection law.

Is the glass real? Why does it look like plastic? +
It is real stained glass: every piece is cut by hand, wrapped in copper foil and soldered. What looks like plastic is opal (milky) glass — switched off, it really does look smooth and even. Telling them apart is easy: glass is about twice as heavy as plastic, cold to the touch, and you cannot scratch it with a fingernail or burn it.
Why is the colour of the glass uneven? +
Colour is set while the glass is melted: metal oxides spread through the melt unevenly, so a single sheet comes out with swirls, streaks and shifts in density. Perfectly even colour only happens with film and dyed plastic. For the same reason no two shades of the same model are identical — and the shade of your lamp may differ slightly from the photograph.
Why is the seam uneven, and why is there an oily film on it? +
The seam is laid by hand with a soldering iron — it is never mirror-smooth; you can read the movement of the hand along it. The light oily film on the seams is a protective coating: tin darkens in air, and the oil slows the oxidation. Wipe the shade with a dry soft cloth and it comes off.
Is the base metal or plastic? +
Cast zinc alloy. It is heavy, so the lamp stands firm and does not tip when you pull the switch chain. Some Ø30 cm models sit on a polyresin base: lighter and cheaper than metal, but the casting takes a deeper relief. The material is listed in the specifications of every model.
Which bulb should I use? +
An E27 socket, warm 2700K, LED at 5–8 W. Ø40 cm models take two bulbs, Ø30 cm and smaller take one. Cold white light turns coloured glass grey — the whole point of a stained-glass shade is warm light passing through it. With such a bulb the shade stays barely warm; avoid incandescent and halogen, which run much hotter. Bulbs are included.
How do I clean the shade? +
Wipe it with a dry or slightly damp soft cloth. Do not use abrasives, alcohol or glass cleaner: they damage the patina on the soldered seams. The shade must never be washed under running water.
What if the glass arrives broken? +
Inspect the parcel on delivery, before the courier or pick-up point staff leave, and film yourself opening it. With that video a return or replacement on the marketplace is settled in one step.
How long does delivery take? +
From the Russian warehouse — 2–3 days in Moscow and St Petersburg, up to 7 days to the regions. Direct from China — 12–20 days, but the whole range is available. In high season these stretch: courier networks are overloaded before the New Year, and the factory closes for about two weeks over Chinese New Year (late January to mid-February). The Russian warehouse is not affected by that break — if you need the lamp by a given date, choose a model held in Russia.
