Hang a pendant 70–80 cm above the surface: the light lands on the table while the shade stays at the eye level of people seated. Coloured glass does what no frosted shade can — it tints the pool of light and throws a pattern onto the ceiling.
Drop length is adjusted by the chain; canopy and chain are metal. The shade is hand-assembled by the same method as the table lamps. For a kitchen, choose a pattern with warm tones: a cool palette reads grey against a white tablecloth.
